Project Objective
The restrooms on the second floor of Building 76 at the Bath VA Medical Center were not compliant with current ADA standards. The scope of this project was to provide a new design for the restrooms to improve accessibility and comply with current ADA and VA standards.
Unique Project Features
In order to allow continuous use of all areas surrounding the construction area, the abatement, demolition, and construction designs were phased. The desired project turnaround time was 120 days.
Encorus Group Solution
Encorus is providing designs for the plumbing, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical services for the new restroom areas. The designs adhere to Department of Veterans Affairs Guidelines, ADA accessibility requirements, and other applicable codes and standards. The abatement, demolition, and construction designs were phased to minimize disruption to the facility.
