Canandaigua VA Medical Center Boiler Assessment

Project Objective
The scope of this project was to assess three 50 year-old watertube steam boilers and the associated pipes and condensate lines. The equipment was 10 years past the VA guidelines for equipment useful lifespan, making planning of a replacement for this system in the near future important.

This project involved both the evaluation of existing boilers, and the evaluation of potential replacement options.
Encorus Group Solution
Encorus examined boiler data from spreadsheets, handwritten reports, old inspection reports, and staff interviews to assess efficiency, and to compare with anticipated steam requirements in the future in order to generate a report of the boiler conditions and calculations for ideal boiler replacement capacity.
