Project Objective
The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) was designed to permanently dispose of transuranic radioactive waste left over from the research and production of nuclear weapons. Encorus was contracted to procure parts with proper NQA-1 documentation.
Unique Project Features
Due to the secure nature of the facility, the project was subject to NQA-1 quality assurance requirements. Parts procured included safety significant items with extensive documentation requirements.

Encorus specified and purchased parts for safety significant systems including fire sprinklers and instrumentation, and provided testing and documentation to meet Quality Assurance scrutiny for Safety Significant parts.
